Adventure Challenge is an Active Member of these Organizations:
• American Canoe Association ( ACA )
• Virginia Professional Paddlesport Association ( VAPPA
)
Minimum Standards for Adventure Challenge Head Instructors:
• ACA Certified Instructor for the course they are instructing. Certification level
must be at or above the level of the course being taught.
• 5 years experience leading and instructing.
• Maintain a Red Cross Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Trained in assisting others on the water.
• Ability to lead and teach a group of people in a safe, fun, and organized manner
(not all certified instructors posses this quality).
Qualifications of Michael "Buzz" Kraft, owner of Adventure Challenge:
• ACA Certified, Whitewater Kayak Instructor.
• ACA Certified, Sea/Coastal Kayak Instructor.
• ACA Certified, Canoe Instructor.
• ACA, Disabled Paddlers Endorsement, Advanced Level.
• Maintain a Red Cross Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Trained in River Rescue and Advanced River Rescue.
• 11 years experience leading and instructing commercial paddlesports.
• Over 20 years paddling experience.
