Thank you for your interest in tubing the James River with Adventure Challenge. We have offered our tubing trips in conjunction with our sister company Richmond Raft Company. Unfortunately they are no longer able to offer activities in Richmond. At this time, the City of Richmond does not have a concessionaire offering rafting or tubing. 

I suggest you visit www.vappa.com (Virginia Professional Paddlesport Association) to learn of other outfitters in the state offering tubing.

After 18 years of operating in the City of Richmond, many of those years as a concessionaire for the City itself, Richmond Raft was forced to cease their operations in Richmond due to a new contract offered by the City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities that was inadequate to support a professional operation. Efforts to persuade the City to open negotiations were unsuccessful. To date, no one from the City has been willing to discuss or negotiate the terms and conditions the City is currently seeking. At this time, the City of Richmond does not have a concessionaire offering rafting or tubing.
